NCMF seminar on: Green Washing Risk and 2024 AGM

Sustainable finance has been on the top of the agenda for a while, and we see a wide range of products with green and sustainable features in the market. However, while sustainable finance will continue to be in the center of attention, there is an increasing focus on the risk of greenwashing – and greenhushing – baked into the marketing of these products. ICMA published its paper on market integrity and greenwashing risks in sustainable finance in October last year, and the ESAs will publish final greenwashing reports in May 2024. We also see more and more litigation evolving around greenwashing.

In this seminar, we will discuss the risks related to greenwashing in the debt capital market, what is it, how do we avoid it, how do we spot it and what are the consequences?

Confirmed speakers and panelists include:

Henrik Saugmandsgaard Øe, Partner at Gorrissen Federspiel, former Advocate General at the Court of Justice of the European Union and Consumer Ombudsman in Denmark

Rikke Eidem, Sustainable Bond Specialist – Danske Bank Debt Capital Markets

Majbritt Skov, Partner & Head of Deloitte Economics and ESG M&A, Deloitte

Registration with breakfast starts at 08:00 CEST and the seminar will start at 09:00 CEST. The NCMF Annual General Meeting of 2024 will be held in conjunction with the seminar. The seminar will finish around 13:00 CEST and will be followed by a lunch networking reception.

The event is free of charge for members of NCMF. However, registration in advance is essential.
